Primary Sources: Abraham Simon
In 1886, he came from Brest, Belarus, alone, as a laborer. 
A year later, he was able to bring over his wife and two daughters. 
By the census of 1900, he was a peddler. 
In 1907, his second oldest daughter, Esther, married Morris Rubenstein.
The 1909 City Directory listed his occupation as "juice," which we knew to be sacramental wine.

Morris Rubenstein

Morris fled Russia in 1901 to escape the draft.
In 1907, he married Esther Simon,
Abraham Simon's second oldest daughter,
moved around the corner from his father-in-law
to 282 Broome Street, and had four sons.
